There are literally thousands of home-built kayaks and canoes around the world. Everything from dugout, skin-on-frame, stitch & glue, to lapstrake and woodstrip boats can be found in every corner of the world.

All of these boats share at least one thing in common -- they were built by an individual who was passionate about their work, passionate about building a boat with their own two hands!

Possibly unknown to you, there may be a builder living across town, in the next city, or on the other side of the world who owns, has built, or is building the same boat as you.
